      Yes it does. Oats raise blood sugar very high in most people. Not at all healthy.

      @DonnaAnne Truth I see. I have read that the blood sugar spike is linked to the glycemic index. With oatmeal’s (at least rolled oats) GI being low, how does it spike it up?

      First, GI of oatmeal is not low its not high its medium. Second , GI is not the only thing to consider in regards to bood sugar. The quantity of carbs needs to be taken into account. It’s very easy to over consume certain carbs including oatmeal.

    Make your own food, like yogurt, ricotta cheese, bread and/or baked goods. You can make cheese/cheese spreads with yogurt or ricotta. Using flour/almond flour and other good ingredients. Then you know what’s in your food with the bonus of being healthier, more satisfied and actually save money at the same time.
