A 3 day water fast is very beneficial to the body. Sure longer fasts are also great but for those of us that have very busy schedules doing a 4-10 day water fast just isn't reasonable. 3 Day water fasts benefits exceed those that you will receive from intermittent fasting or even OMAD. I prefer doing the 3 day water fast once every other month.
3 day water fast ketosis is a awesome bio-hack. If you are in the state of ketosis prior to the fast you will find that you don't crash as you would switching from sugar burning to fat burning during the fast itself.

Why can’t we drink coffee during a fast? No nutritional value is there?
Its not that you cant…. you certainly can. For some it really helps keep them going. I do sometimes if I need a energy boost while working. With all that said….I find value in cutting out caffeine while trying to heal the body as we live in an over-caffeinated world.
@dr.nickzyrowskiok. I will try. Starting a 5 day fast tomorrow at 8pm Hawai’i time to fight melanoma. It’s going to be the 4th attempt. So far 3 days is as far as I get.
I do 24 hours fasting my dinner was at 4:00 pm and doing a 36 hour fasting thanks

Early 3rd day my blood sugar dropped too low and I got dizzy. Had to break.
Push the electrolytes… there is no harm in stopping and getting after it again in a few weeks.
Can I use ORS for electrolytes during the fast?
I just finished a 68-hour fast, almost making it the full three days! I only took a zero-calorie electrolyte drink twice and had a cup of coffee each day. I’ve been intermittent fasting regualry and this is my second 2-3 day fast I’ve attemped this month. I’m building up to a cleaner and more strict water-only fast but my results so far paired with a keto diet I’m already down to 276 from my heaviest ever of 298, and it’s only been a couple weeks!
