    Hello Ruled Me. When cooking recipes … can you simply leave out the sugar , including sugar substitutes? Do you have to adjust the amounts of other ingredients if you do this?

    • RuledMe on July 28, 2021 at 3:45 pm

      It depends on the recipe – you can, but you will likely end up with lower volume of the finished product. For example if you left out the sweetener in the donut muffins, you’d probably have 1 or 2 fewer muffins. You shouldn’t need to adjust the other ingredients much, but you may need to add a tablespoon or 2 more of almond flour to help bring the batter together.

      @RuledMe Thank you

    Nice video, but what about using the batter (talking about the waffles) that has egg in it and its not cooked. Is that safe?

    • RuledMe on August 26, 2021 at 4:09 pm

      If you’re worried you can specifically buy pasteurized eggs. Or, you can skip using the batter in the icing. I personally don’t think the chance of getting sick is very high especially if you aren’t letting the egg white/yolk touch the outside of the shell.

    Haven’t had that in long time buck wheat waffles or pancakes . Oh boy that’s a craving in its self .Waffles, ham and poached eggs on toast with fresh fruit, jelly, and syrup for waffles.

    • RuledMe on November 4, 2021 at 6:12 am

      With some substitutions and some creativity, you can definitely have all of that on keto! There are quite a few different low-carb syrups, we have a recipe for strawberry chia jam, and fresh fruit you just have to moderate. I hope you enjoy the pancakes!
