Black seed oil can be used in several ways. You can take it orally by adding a teaspoon to a glass of water, juice, or smoothies. Some people prefer to swallow it directly, but it’s best to start with a small amount to see how your body reacts. You can also apply it topically to the skin to help with skin conditions or hair health.

I often hear to stay away from seed oils. I guess this is an exception.

    • @Noisycowonline on June 4, 2025 at 2:46 pm

Most seed oils are high pressure cooked death liquids, former machine oil, have nothing to do with ‘vegetables’, rancid, oxidized. This is not.

      Same thinking here

    • @Drberg on June 4, 2025 at 3:27 pm

I recommend black seed oil. Black seed oil doesn’t come from the same kind of plant as typical “seed oils” like sunflower, canola, or soybean oil. Black seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant native to Southeast Asia.

  15. @moomin7461 on June 4, 2025 at 3:27 pm

Black seed oil is generally very safe if consumed in moderation. However, caution should be taken if you’re on anti depressants as these can increase serotonin levels. Black seed oil can also increase serotonin. Too much serotonin can lead to serotonin syndrome which could be potentially life threatening.

Thank you for sharing this important info.

  16. @Denise-vn8wz on June 4, 2025 at 4:26 pm

The black seeds are pretty dry. How is oil removed from them? Or are they added to other oils?

    • @Drberg on June 4, 2025 at 4:42 pm

Black seed oil is extracted from black seeds, not added to other oils in the process of extraction. The seeds are typically cold-pressed, a mechanical process that squeezes the seeds without heating them, to release the oil. This method preserves the oil’s delicate compounds and flavor.
