I’ve been feeling so guilty as of late for my lack of motivation, even after pushing through a workout! Thanks for the perspective.

One thing I remind myself as well is that athletes don’t train year round, there are times of absolute rest to rebalance hormone levels, recover from joint stress and reduce psychological strain. Sometimes a lack of motivation is a sign of overtraining and stepping away for a bit followed by some “unstructured training” (basically staying active without rigidity of a program or goal) helps. Happy holidays to everyone!
